Reading/Language Skills and Test Dates:

January 12-16

Story: "Fiona's Lace"

Comprehension Skill: cause/effect and sequence

Word Analysis: suffixes -able/-ible and Latin root port

Spelling: suffixes -able/-ible and Latin root port

English: adjectives

Writing: narrative


Upcoming Tests:

January 15th: "Fiona's Lace" story test

January 15th: Text Dependent Writing on "Fiona's Lace"

January 16th: Unit 3 Lesson 3 reading test (includes vocabulary, word analysis, and comprehension story)

January 16th: spelling test on suffixes -able/-ible and Latin root port


Homework

The students will complete vocabulary flashcards and spelling choices in class.  Any assignments not completed in class will need to be completed for homework.  

Read 60 minutes the week of January 12th-16th and complete the reading response section of the reading log.  This is due first thing Friday morning.
