About me

Welcome to High School Social Studies at Renaissance Academy!

My name is Leah Bohon. I graduated from Clemson University in 2019 with degrees in Political Science and Communication. Upon graduating from Clemson, I became a camp counselor, a pre school teacher, and a substitute teacher. These roles helped me quickly realize my passion for teaching. I enrolled in the Teachers of Tomorrow Program to become a certified high school Social Studies teacher.

When I am not at school, I love to go on adventures with my husband and two poodles. They certainly keep life interesting!

The 2023-2024 school year is my fourth year teaching at Renaissance Academy. My first year here, I had the privilege of teaching LeadWorthy, our life-skills development class. In 2021, I transitioned into the High School Social Studies classroom where I will remain. Teaching Social Studies is my passion and I am so grateful to get to do it every single day at RA!

Teaching at Renaissance Academy and getting to build relationships with the students here brings me so much joy. I believe our school is a school of second chances. There is nowhere else I would rather be.

I cannot wait to see what this year holds!
