About IBS 2018

The Indian Biophysical Society holds annual meetings that provides largest platform to present latest research and for interaction among biophysicists in India.

Since, its inception in the early 1970s, the protein data bank (PDB) has grown and evolved into a big data repository of structural data of biomolecules and biomolecular complexes. These data have provided vital clues to cellular function and have been indispensable for the development of new generation therapeutics.

The Satellite meeting aims to showcase the various analytical tools to query these data and to establish guidelines for archiving and annotation of these data, and for development of analytical tools keeping in mind future growth and innovations in experimental and computational techniques.
