We have hosted 203 attendees in-person and 165 attendees on Zoom webinar. All of them have been provided with the certificate of participation. The whole event has been streamed on YouTube for general audience.

What: Free 1-day event to highlight the use of AI in research and education at IISER Pune

When: 07-Feb-2026, 8:55 AM - 5:15 PM

Offline:

Venue: CV Raman Auditorium, IISER Pune.
Bring your digital ID card that has been sent to your registered email ID.
Registration time: 8 AM- 9 AM.
Certificates will be provided to the in-person registered candidates only.
No refreshments/food will be provided.

Online:

The Zoom link has been sent to all registered participants.
Please configure Zoom on your system in advance to ensure a smooth login.
Join the workshop using the same email that you used for registering for the event before 8:30 AM.
Zoom attendance record will be considered for issuing the certificates.

Content:

AI across disciplines: Join nine IISER Pune faculty from various disciplines to understand how researchers are using AI/ML in their own research (Science, Humanities, and Education). The scientific talks will be at a level suitable for Bachelor's and Master's students without any prior exposure to AI/ML methods.
Hands-on demonstration using vibe coding: Participate in a hands-on activity to make a simple app on your mobile phone using vibe-coding (for non-coders).
Open-mic for AI-related discussion: Participate in an open-mic discussion with IISER Pune faculty on the effects of AI on society and various AI-related issues faced by students.

For Whom: Anyone can attend the talks. Registration is free but mandatory for either session.

E-certificates: Certificates of participation will be issued to those registered candidates who attend the event in its entirety.
