Associate Director, Zaha Hadid Architects Co-founder and Head of ZHACODE Shajay Bhooshan is an Associate Director at Zaha Hadid Architects and co-founder of the Computation and Design research group, ZHACODE. His academic journey includes a role as a studio-master at the Architectural Association's Design Research Laboratory, where he explores the intersection of computational geometry, video game technology, urban development, and industrial construction. Shajay's research focuses on digital design and robotic fabrication, honed during his Doctoral studies at the Block Research Group at ETH Zurich. Principal and Owner, Atelier Manferdini Graduate Program Chair, SCI-Arc With over 15 years of experience, Elena Manferdini is a prominent figure in architectural education and practice. As the Graduate Program Chair at SCI-Arc, she has been shaping the next generation of designers since 2003. A graduate of the University of Civil Engineering in Bologna and UCLA, she founded Atelier Manferdini in Venice, CA, where she has created impactful designs and installations. Her accolades include the 2013 ACADIA Innovative Research Award of Excellence and the prestigious ICON Award at the LA Design Festival, recognizing her significant contributions to architecture and design. Elena’s commitment to innovation and creativity continues to inspire her students and peers.
