Beginning with the Second Industrial Revolution, 8th Grade American History will be a study of major events, issues, movements, individuals, and groups of people in the United States from a national and a Louisiana perspective. In this course, we will examine the rise of the United States as an industrial and world power, World War I, the Great Depression, Huey P. Long, The Great Flood of 1927, World War II, the Cold War, the Civil Rights movement, and the modern era.
