Mastering Math 

This year we will focus on mastering math standards to prepare for junior high.  Students will become experts on computing whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and mixed numbers.   We will use a variety of learning techniques including: standard algorithms, tape diagrams, area models,  and place value models.  Students will be expected to explain their work using correct math vocabulary.

WEEKLY INDIVIDUAL LEARNING GOALS

Students will be expected to keep up with a variety of learning goals each week. These assignments can be worked on at home, in the morning before school, when other assignments are completed early. These goals are based on student ability and will be adjusted throughout the year.  Each child will have a log sheet that you can look at daily to see their progress.
