4th-8th Grade Procedures for 2024-2025
We are excited about having your child in our classes. We would like to take this opportunity to give you information that you may find helpful throughout the year.
Students will continue to utilize Google Classroom this year. Google Classroom is a digital classroom, allowing teachers to push assignments, lessons and projects to students. It’s accessible from any computer with internet access. Your child knows how to sign in using their secure email address and password provided by Acadia Parish School Board. Parents may use this same secure login provided to your child to access student lessons and assignments for review.
Students can submit assignments online and comments, edits, suggestions, and/or grades are provided by the teacher in digital format. The intention of Google Classroom is communication in a safe, secure and monitored way inside and outside the classroom.

Students will be graded on class assignments, extended classwork, projects, and group activities. Weekly grade reports, progress reports and report cards must be signed and returned the next school day. In order to check your child’s daily progress in all subject areas you may log onto the Parent Command Center through the Acadia Parish School Board website.
Conferences
Conferences can be scheduled by contacting the office (824-1368). We realize that it is difficult for many of you to come to school due to your work schedules. We will make every attempt to meet with you at a convenient time for both of us. We can also arrange to have a telephone conference when necessary. A group conference or zoom/google meet may also be scheduled if it is more beneficial.
Communication
Text the Class Code to 81010. Each teacher has their own code, as well as the office.
