1st Model Minnesota Governor

Ankit Mukhopadhyay was born and raised in Eagan, Minnesota. He now attends the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he is studying Political Science and Economics. 

Ankit is a positive and outgoing person who isn't shy about starting a conversation with a stranger. He brings that same attitude to wherever he is, from the classroom to the community. Also an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, he loves to catch football games with friends and family. 

Ankit is an active member of the community, getting involved with many local organizations, dedicated to benefiting and giving back to the community that has given him so much. He previously served as his Class President, Minnesota Youth in Government Lieutenant Governor, and Minnesota Model United Nations Secretary General. He has had the honor of testifying in the Minnesota State Capitol been able to intern on multiple campaigns in his hometown. 

Now, over 1600 miles away on the East Coast, Ankit is looking to stay involved with politics back home, but also get acquainted with politics in Pennsylvania. He is looking forward to growing the Minnesota state program and is honored to serve as the inaugural Minnesota Governor.
