Ms. Ruiz

I'm Ms. Ruiz, an elementary teacher with  over thirteen years of experience in the early grades. I’m currently teaching Science, Math and Social Studies, but my professional certificate also includes Reading, ESOL and ESE endorsements which are needed in every subject.

 I'm excited to be starting my seventh year at Academir and my fourth year with second graders! 

Outside of school, I find joy in nature, whether it's a leisurely walk, a challenging hike, or a bike ride. I'm also an avid reader and a curious traveler, always eager to explore new places and cultures.

Ms. Cartaya

Hi, I'm Ms. Cartaya! I've had the privilege of being part of the Academir Preparatory Academy family for five years, and I currently teach ELA to second grade. I hold a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate with Reading, ESOL, and ESE endorsements, which allows me to support the diverse needs of every learner in my classroom. Before stepping into the classroom full-time, I spent two years as a Reading Interventionist, which is where my love for literacy really took root. This is my second year teaching second grade, and I carry that same passion for reading into everything I do. I believe in creating a classroom where curiosity is celebrated, mistakes are simply part of learning, and every child feels like they truly belong. There's nothing I love more than watching my students discover just how capable they are.

Ms. Rodriguez

Welcome to 2nd grade! I am Ms. Rodriguez. I am very excited to be your teacher this year. This is my 4th year teaching. I am very honored to guide your child through the amazing adventure of learning. I am very hardworking and passionate. I love kids, that's why I have changed my career to Education. I look forward to work with you and to have an amazing year!
