Hello, I'm Mr.Cid, I've been the art teacher here at AcadeMir Charter School West starting six years now and I teach both Elementary Art and Middle School Art and Photography.
I received my bachelor's degree in art education with a minor in art history at Florida International University. Art media that I specialize in are printmaking, ceramics, digital art, and digital imaging. Outside of education my background is primarily in graphic design and graphic arts, as well as sheet metal product design/ fabrication, print making, and event coordination.
I began my journey in education the 2014 - 2015 school year working for a non-profit from the AmeriCorps national service network called City Year. Eventually I found my self here at ACSW where I truly felt there was a genuine interest in not only academic success but also building character and a culture that fosters the ability for students to thrive in and out of the classroom.
I'm looking forward to another year getting messy in the art room.
