My name is Ms. Barbery, and I am the gifted Math, Science, and Social Studies teacher.   I graduated from Queens College, New York. I have endorsements in Gifted, Reading, and ESOL. I have been a dedicated educator at Academir since its opening in 2011, which the last ten years have been in fourth grade.  I look forward to being your guide on an exciting year of learning!

     My name is Mrs. Quintero, and I am the gifted Reading and Language Arts teacher. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Florida International University and have been working in education since 2019. This will be my third year with Academir, and I’m so excited for everything this school year has in store.

     I set high expectations in my classroom and work hard to make sure every student feels both challenged and supported. I’m passionate about what I do and truly believe in every student’s potential. I look forward to a successful year ahead, full of learning and inspiration!

My name is Mr. Lopez and I am a reading language arts/ writing teacher. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Florida International University (FIU) in Elementary Education. I worked for Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDPCS) since 2015 as a reading interventionist and 1 year as a 4th grade teacher. I joined AcadeMir Charter School West (ACSW) in 2021. I am excited to share my 5th year with everyone and I am looking forward to an exciting school year filled with many opportunities and inspiration ahead!

My name is Ms. Sendon, and I am a math, science and social studies teacher. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Florida International University. After several years of experience with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, I joined ACSW. My name is Mrs.Fuentes. I teach Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.  I graduated from FIU with a Bachelor's Degree in Exceptional Student Education. Along with my bachelor's degree I also have an ESOL, Elementary, and Reading Endorsement.  I have several years of experience. This would be my seventh year at Academir. I look forward to having an amazing year and reaching for excellence.
