WELCOME! I  hold Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Florida International University and University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music. I am also the proud owner of a wedding and event photography business. I am passionate about artistic expression and love to share my knowledge and passion with my students. 

My name is Coach Andrews and I have taught and coached at AcadeMir Middle for 13 years. My passion is in athletics as well as educating students on the importance of health and physical fitness.. I look forward to working with everyone this school year!

My name is Mrs. Prado, and I am a professional ballet instructor with more than 20 years of experience in dance education. I was born and trained in Havana, Cuba, where I had the privilege of studying with some of the country's most distinguished ballet dancers and professors, including founders of the National Ballet of Cuba.

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with Honors in 2003 and my Master of Fine Arts in Dance in 2008 from the Higher Institute of Arts (ISA) University of Cuba.

This is my fourth year at Academir Charter School Middle, where I teach Dance, Broadcasting, and Robotics. I am also proud to lead our Dance Competition Team, giving students the opportunity to strengthen their technique, build confidence, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and proudly represent our school in competitions.

I look forward to an exciting school year and to helping every student discover their talents, grow with confidence, and reach their full potential. Welcome to my class!

Welcome my name is Coach Alcantara(Coach A) I have a background in physical education and  a passion for athletics. I look forward to educating our students in health and fitness topics as well as introducing  them to sports while teaching the values of good sportsmanship. 

I am from Colombia. I have a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design and a Associate Degree in Jewelry Design. This is my second year  teaching art at ACSM. As a teacher I believe students truly learns and remembers when they  are involve, when  they experience education.  

Welcome back to the 2026-2027 school year, I am very excited to be your Spanish teacher, I have 25 plus years of experience teaching, and I’m thrilled to use my expertise to help our young tigers master my beautiful Spanish Language. 

My name is Leonel Viera, and I am the music teacher at Academir Preparatory Academy. I love watching my students play instruments, sing, and enjoy music while they learn. My teaching is built on an inclusive philosophy, ensuring that every student, regardless of their background or ability, has a place and a voice in my classroom. I believe music is a universal language that breaks down barriers, fosters belonging, and allows every child to express their unique potential.
