Bachelor degree in Biology, specialist in watershed management. I have 5 years of experience teaching Biology, Chemistry and General Science according to the national curriculum in Colombia and also IBDP Biology SL level. I have 3 years of experience in ecological restoration of high Andean Forest in Bogota, Colombia. 

Greetings, I am Mrs.Zoila Montalvo Balanque. I received my bachelor's degree in chemistry in Pedagogical University in Camaguey Cuba, I received my master's in educational research in 2000 from Pedagogical University of Habana Cuba.

I have 44 years of experience teaching the Science area. I was teaching Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and General Science in Junior and Senior level and preparing them for the National Exam. I have experience teaching in Cuba, Jamaica and The Bahamas. I love to teach the students, to help them to acquire new knowledge, prepare them for life and select their future profession.

Dr. Maria Morera recently joined ACSM as our 8th grade Biology teacher. She also teaches Ecology and Human Anatomy and Physiology.  Originally from Miami, Florida, Dr. Morera holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Florida and a B.S. in Environmental Studies with a minor in Biology from Florida International University. As a practicing environmental anthropologist with training in biology, she brings a demand-driven approach to research and education grounded in the real-world application of biological principles—critical to effective dissemination of evidence-based knowledge.
