Welcome to Reading Intervention! 

Hello! My name is Alexandra Garrido and I have been a reading interventionist at AcadeMir Charter School East for about 2 years. The purpose of reading intervention is to help improve students' skills in reading and writing. By teaching students effective reading strategies in a small group setting using engaging lessons, the students will become more confident, independent readers.

How it works

The majority of the students in reading intervention will be in my classroom for 30 minutes every single day. They will NOT be pulled during instruction time, only during intervention blocks and specials. That way, they will not miss any important lessons from their teachers.
