BRIEF HISTORY OF THE COLLEGE
The College of Engineering was established on 4th January, 2010 as one of the pioneer Colleges of the University. The current population is over 1,900 students. The mission of the College is in consonance with that of the university: to produce graduates who are of high moral standard and integrity, excellent in academics, self-reliant, employers of labour rather than employees, and role models in the engineering profession, ready to contribute their quota to the upliftment of the socio-economic status of the nation and the transformation of her physical infrastructure and professional development.
The College offers training at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in the following academic programmes:

2. Biomedical Engineering
3. Chemical Engineering
4. Petroleum Engineering
5. Civil Engineering
6. Computer Engineering
7. Electrical Electronic Engineering
8. Mechanical Engineering
9. Mechatronics Engineering
All the academic programmes are fully accredited by both NUC and COREN. The College has produced over 1,690 well-trained Graduate Engineers since its inception in 2010. Our students have won many awards nationally and internationally. The alumni are making an enviable impact in industry and academia throughout the world. Many of them are doing/have completed their PhD and Master's degrees with full scholarship in high-ranking universities in USA, United Kingdom and many other European countries. The College has contributed to Engineering, Industry and Society, including publication in SCOPUS indexed outlets, participation in conferences, exhibitions and colloquium; serving as Professorial Assessors for many Universities – Nationally and internationally; serving as external examiners for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and participation in NUC and COREN accreditation of academic programmes in other Universities.
