Jennifer Lombard
Welcome to the 23-24 school year. I work with WAMS students with last names from LO-Z. Even though I work with this same group of students throughout their middle school years, I will always work with any student as needed. While this is my second year at Western Middle, I have 16 years experience as a middle school counselor in the ABSS district. I graduated from UNCA with a BA in Spanish and then from NCCU with a MA in school counseling. I enjoy nature, travel, world languages, hanging out with my friends, and documentaries. I look forward to getting to know you!

The Say Something anonymous reporting system allows you to submit secure and anonymous safety concerns to help adults intervene in situations where someone's safety is at risk BEFORE they hurt themselves or others. You can submit a concern 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
School counselors do many things to help students overcome barriers to being academically successful. Some examples may include, but are not limited to:
Individual counseling
Small group counseling
Parent conferences
Crisis intervention
Large group (classroom) activities
College and career exploration
Referral to additional services both within and outside of the school setting
We work closely with administration, teachers, the school social worker, the school nurse and school psychologist to provide the best possible support for all students.
