Students will read at least 900 minutes from June 6-August 24. They must document the minutes on the Reading Log/Google Doc. Then, share it with me by August 28, 2026 OR print it out, fill it in and bring it to me by that date.
There is a LOT going on at Alamance County Public Libraries this summer! Their reading challenge is called "Unearth A Story," and requires registration and for students to track minutes also. See this link for more information about the reading challenge and summer programming!
White House Summer Reading Challenge
Second lady, Usha Vance, is hosting a summer reading challenge for children grades K-8. For more details, visit this link. You must read at least 12 books and document those read on the appropriate reading log.
This program is open to Pre-K to 6th Grade only. Students, with parents help, download the Book It app to log their minutes/book. Each month you achieve your goal, you win a free personal pizza from Pizza Hut! More information can be accessed by visiting this link.
