BOOKS & ELECTRONIC RESOURCES
Books
Find the right book! Use the library catalog, have fun at WhatShouldIReadNext.com, and/or ask a librarian -- we live for matchmaking between readers and books! (And no, not in a sad way, thanks for checking in.) If we don't have what you need, you can use your student ID number (lunch number) to reserve and check books out from the Alamance County Public Libraries (ACPL). ACPL provides access to many ebooks and audiobooks! If asked for your pin, it's the last 4 digits of you Student ID/UID.
Watch student book talks to learn if any of their suggestions are right for you!
Databases
Databases are a wonderful source of up-to-date nonfiction and generally quality information. Looking for anything in particular? The librarian would love to help.
Ebsco: Most of our databases are available through Ebsco by logging in through Rapid Identity
Britannica: Britannica can also be accessed through Rapid Identity
U.S. Bureau of Labor & Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook: Learn about growth industries, salary ranges, and job descriptions and qualifications for a wide variety of occupations.
Black Freedom Database: Website featuring expertly selected open primary source documents. "Visitors will find historical newspaper articles, pamphlets, diaries, correspondence and more from specific time periods in U.S. history marked by the opposition African Americans have faced on the road to freedom."

RESEARCH
Responsible Usage of AI
“How to Use AI Responsibly EVERY Time:”
EVALUATE the initial output to see if it meets the intended purpose and your needs.
VERIFY facts, figures, quotes, and data using reliable sources to ensure there are no hallucinations or bias.
EDIT your prompt and ask follow up questions to have the AI improve its output.
REVISE the results to reflect your unique needs, style, and/or tone. AI output is a great starting point, but shouldn’t be a final product.
YOU are ultimately responsible for everything you create with AI. Always be transparent about if and how you used AI.
