A-F School Counselor
Mrs. Carson serves students with last names A-F. She was an English teacher first and then a high school counselor for over 16 years. She is excited to work with SAHS students to help them meet graduation requirements, challenge themselves through rigorous courses, planning their college/career/ military goals, and coping with any social or emotional issues that may arise. She earned her undergraduate degree from UNC-Greensboro and her master's degree from Appalachian State University.
G-Pa School Counselor

We are excited that Ms. Liza Palazzi has returned to SAHS as a professional school counselor with last names G-Pa. Prior to her transition ino the role of school counselor, Ms. Palazzi taught middle and high school Language Arts/ English for 10 years. She is thrilled to be back to work with Patriot students to help them meet graduation requirements, challenge themselves through rigorous courses, plan college/career/military goals, and learn to cope with any social emotional issues that may arise. Ms. Palazzi earned her undergraduate degree from UNC-Greensboro and her masters degree from North Carolina Central University.

Ms. Williams serves students with last names Pe-Z. She has been a professional school counselor for 17 years. She has worked here at SAHS for 8 years. She looks forward to working with you to reach all of your Personal/Social, Academic and Career goals!! She earned her undergraduate degree from UNC-Greensboro and her master's degree from North Carolina A&T State University.
I chose to pursue school counseling because I have always been passionate about working and creating opportunities for students to achieve their academic and emotional goals. I want to be an advocate for education and work toward reducing the disparities that persist in the education system, ensuring that students receive the support they need and deserve.
