This is a very exciting year for all of us, a year of new beginnings, and I am excited to share this journey with you! Since we will be journeying together, I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. I grew up in eastern North Carolina and graduated from East Carolina University with both my BA and MA in Psychology. Go Pirates! I am licensed to teach K-9 Math and ELA, and am extremely excited to have found a home at Southern Middle School!

My husband is the Fire Inspector with the City of Graham, and we are blessed to have a son who is a Junior at SAHS, a daughter who is Freshman at SAHS, and a very hyper, but cute, dog! In my spare time, you can find me reading, watching movies, visiting new places, hanging out at the beach, attending events at our church, or simply cherishing family time.

My teaching career started in the middle school environment 16 years ago, during which time I have been either teaching or serving as Academic Coach in the Alamance Burlington School System. I hope that together we can instill the love of all things math with the goal of creating lifelong learners.
