My name is Selina Knapp and I am delighted to have the opportunity to be your child's third grade teacher.  This will be my seventh year at South Mebane, and the start of my 20th year teaching.  Before joining the South Mebane family,  I spent 13 years teaching in my hometown (Asheboro) in Randolph County. Born into a family of educators, teaching has always been my passion!

I obtained a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from UNC-Greensboro in 2006 and a master's degree in Elementary Education from Pfeiffer University in 2012. 

I got married to my amazing husband, Jason, in November of 2019.  We are avid sports fans and love going to watch our teams play.  I follow sports year round and enjoy cheering on my favorite teams: San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and those Duke Blue Devils. I love spending time with my husband, family, and friends. When I am not at school or at a sporting event, you can find me at the beach. Oak Island is my home away from home and I love going there any chance that I get!

I am looking forward to a year filled with love, laughter, and learning with your child as we grow into leaders... one habit at a time.
