Discovering The POWER Within Me!!

The 2021-2022 theme at SME is "Discovering the Power Within Me". We will be building our leadership and life skills this year through love, laughter, learning and leading. South Mebane is a proud Leader in Me school!

The Leader in Me is Franklin Covey’s whole school transformation process. It teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader. Students will learn The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People through work in their Leader in Me handbooks, videos and activities. The first three habits (1-3) "start with me" and then the next three (4-6) are focused on "play well with others". Habit 7 is about taking care of yourself.
