Artsploration with Mrs Strickland

I am so excited to be a member of the electives team at the Alamance Virtual School. This is my 22nd year teaching and my 8th year with ABSS. I am an Alamance County native and an ECU graduate. (Go Pirates!) While at ECU, I was on the dance team. I have also danced and been a background actor in several videos and films.  It is such a privilege to teach and to participate in the arts. I look forward to sharing that passion with my students at AVS!

Artsploration Course Syllabus Grades 4-8

We are going to have a great year! During class, we will be exploring many arts genres, including theatre, dance and visual art.

Requirements:

Please be prepared each day to do a warm up and cool down. Some days we will move even more. It is important to have your camera on at all times and that I can see you. You will need to have clothing that is comfortable and an area you can place a towel or mat for stretching. We will meet on an A/B/C week rotation.

Cell Phones:

Please do not use your cell phone during class or log into another site using another device. 

Grading: Grades 6-8

You will be graded on your participation and a weekly assignment which will be completed in class. 

Behavior Expectations:

Appropriate behavior is expected. Please do not make faces, noises, or try to disrupt class. If you are disrupting class after being warned, you will be removed and need to meet with me after class.
