About Mrs. Faircloth

This is my 27th year of teaching and my 7th year at South Mebane. I graduated from East Carolina University in 1997 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I taught kindergarten and first grade for five years and then moved into a technology position at Andrews Elementary. I graduated from NC State University in 2004 with a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology. My family relocated to Holly Springs, NC where I taught fourth grade remediation and then a year of kindergarten in Wake County. We moved back to Alamance County where I became the technology teacher at North Graham Elementary and then Smith Elementary for 12 years. Now I am so excited to be "home" teaching second grade at South Mebane Elementary School!

My family and I live here in Mebane. My husband and I have three children. Jackson is 20 and is a junior at Appalachian State University; Adam is 16 and in the 11th grade at Southeast High School; and Sarah is almost 14 and in the 8th grade at Woodlawn Middle School.

In addition to teaching and learning, I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family, reading, completing home improvement projects, playing games and puzzles, watching movies, and going to the beach.

Here are some pictures of some of our adventures this summer.
