Business/Marketing labs primarily use PC desktop computers. However, some labs use a blend of PC desktops and Chromebooks.
Agricultural Mechanics Labs have access to tools and equipment, including welding and small engines.
Each of our Horticulture programs have a greenhouse similar to this.
Animal Science Classroom/Lab
Horticulture has classroom space and a shop area for plant ID and other projects outside of the greenhouse.
Carpentry shop
All trades programs are outfitted with a classroom space in addition to the shop space. They all have access to technology.
Automotive Shop
Drafting classrooms differ across the district, but they have the same technology and drafting tables or other work space.
Each Food & Nutrition kitchen lab is equipped with 4-6 kitchen spaces, along with a space with tables for projects and classroom instruction.
Family Consumer Sciences Classroom space (Interior Design, Child Development and other courses not requiring a kitchen).
Health Science classroom/lab has equipment for practicing introductory skills and labs.
Each Nursing Fundamentals lab space has access to the same required equipment. The equipment is stored when not in use, so it may not be seen on this video.
Digital Design & Animation and Game Art labs have access to PC desktops, work tables and other required technology.
Digital Media is our only CTE lab of Mac computers.
Digital Media design studio, video and sound editing areas.
In addition to this Culinary kitchen space, the Culinary program has access to a classroom space that may be converted to a banquet or project area.
The Technology Education shop space shares all equipment between two classes. Each teacher also has their own classroom space equipped with computers.
Computer Engineering space has separate areas for wired computers and a separate area for building computers and troubleshooting.
Programming and Computer Science Lab has access to PC desktops and programmable small devices and robots.
This Automotive shop has three bay areas that are shared by two classes. Each teacher also has a classroom space.
The Public Safety Academy has classroom spaces like this for Fire, EMT and Public Safety classes.
Fire Academy has access to a lab space, but also the equipment and practice structures are arranged out of this area for practice.
EMT Academy has access to a lab space to practice skills. Equipment is taken out of storage areas as needed.
There are CTE course options at all ABSS High Schools, including Ray Street Academy and the Career & Technical Education Center (CTEC).
CTE courses are offered at CTEC and Graham High school (Fire & EMT) for students across the district. These CTE courses appear in their registration choices and transportation is provided.
Some CTE courses have prerequisites. They are noted by the course description.
Students may also elect CTE courses as an Alternate selection in registration. If selecting courses not on your high school campus, be sure to include Alternate selections.
