Each year, as part of our district's Summer Reading Program, we ask children and their families to read during the summer holiday. This year, in order to promote and support a screen-free summer offline, we are offering many more activities and resources. Whether your child finds fulfillment in reading, sports, arts and crafts, music, time with family, time with friends, or an adventure of the imagination through independent play, exploration, and experiment, we want their offline experience to be enriched and validated.
Our theme this year is Summer Learning: Read, Make, Explore! And we hope our children will do just that.
Students who participate in the Summer Learning Program and who complete the Bingo page will receive a 2026-2027 Acton Boxborough Summer Learning Certificate. The Bingo page/log sheet and additional details will be sent home during the final days of school. If you don't receive the hard copy of the Bingo page/log sheet, please click on the link to find a downloadable/printable copy.
When school begins in the fall, please have children return the Bingo page/log sheets to their new teacher no later than Friday, September 18, 2026. We hope that you have a wonderful and safe summer and lots of time for free-choice summer learning offline!
Let the adventure begin!
