Google Expeditions

Together with Google Expeditions and other VR apps, the Google Cardboard virtual reality viewer can allow us to engage students in new ways while taking them on virtual field trips around the world. The AB Google Expeditions kits includes everything you need to immerse your students in a virtual reality experience without leaving your classroom. These kits include:

Google Expeditions Carts (2020-21 loans)

  • 1 cart dedicated to ABRHS

  • 1 cart dedicated to JH & elementary schools: the specified number of googles will be delivered by request

  • Up to 30 VR goggles with Android devices

  • 1 Teacher tablet with Expeditions installed

  • 1 router

  • Alcohol wipes for disinfecting between use

Google Cardboard (not available for the 2020-21 school year due to COVID restrictions)

  • 12 Google Cardboards

  • 12 iPod Touches with Expeditions & other VR apps pre-installed

  • 1 Teacher iPad for leading Expeditions

  • 1 router for creating a wifi network to use with Google Expeditions

Student Reflection Activity: Students create printable or digital postcards to reflect on their Expedition with this Google Slides template.
