Acton-Boxborough is a district that embraces change; we recognize that the students and families we serve today are vastly different from the students and families we served just one generation ago. The towns of Acton and Boxborough are suburban communities approximately 20 miles west of Boston along the Rt. 2 corridor, and located between Rts. 495 and 128.  We serve 5000 students and have over 1000 employees.  We have an integrated pre-school, 6 elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school.  Our students reflect an ongoing demographic shift by race and socio-economic status.  The residents of our community include a significant population of families who have more recent international origins.
