Which classes should I sign up for?
You are welcome to take a class at the college or university of your choosing. Most college classes cover one semester of material at a time, oftentimes one semester of Precalc and one semester of Trig. Therefore, it may be necessary to take two classes to cover all the content and skills of a full year course. Below are some programs for summer study that have some alignment with the AB curriculum:
Depending on dates and/or the rate at which these classes fill up, a personal preference for in-person vs. online learning, varying tuition rates, and varying degrees of content coverage, you may prefer to find other courses at a different college or university. This is ok as long as it is well-aligned with the ABRHS curriculum. All other courses must be pre-approved by the math department leader. For approval, email Mrs. Carabellese (jcarabellese@abschools.org) with the course syllabus and links to the school website and programs. Your course should cover as many of the same topics as possible as the Precalculus / Intro to Calculus AE course in the 2024-2025 Program of Studies Double check this alignment before sending the course information to Mrs. Carabellese for pre-approval.
