Hello! I'm Daniel R, currently a sophomore at ABRHS.
I took Electronic Music because I have a good sense of music theory (I've played piano & clarinet for a long time) and I've always found it absolutely amazing that one person could make music with so many instruments. I want to try it out myself!
Before taking this class, I've played around in (mobile) GarageBand before...
When I do listen to music, I can honestly listen to anything (besides rap, I like more melodical songs).
But for making music, I want to make EDM the most already. A lot of people say "it's just dubstep!" but there are a lot more genres than that. If I had to pick a favorite... maybe electroswing? Artcore? Melodic dubstep? I don't even know. Full flavor is the only correct answer then.
My first listen to EDM was this brilliant song by Camellia. He makes a lot of music for rhythm games, so I started listening to it a lot. Thanks, Camellia!
