A message from Library and Media Specialist Teacher, Ms. Laflamme:
Welcome to Blanchard Memorial Elementary School's Library and Media Center! I'm so happy to belong to such an uplifting and talented community that thirsts for knowledge and inclusion! It is my vision that the library and media center be a beautifully divine house of knowledge where all students feel safe as they develop the ability to communicate, collaborate, think critically, and be creative, in order for them to fully participate in today’s global community. To learn more about this vision and my teaching practices, please follow my blog or my posts on ParentSquare.
The resources provided here are meant to support our school community--students, parents and guardians, teachers, and staff. Please let me know if there are more resources I can add to this page that support our Blanchard community.
Did you know that library cards are available to anyone 4 years and older? That's right! Even kindergartners can have their very own library card! Give the gift of a library card early on and you will instill in your child a love for reading as they develop an understanding of what it means to belong to a community, share with others, build independence, and learn about responsible book care.
