I'm Stacie Standing, founder of NorthStar Advocacy.

I'm a mum of six, four of whom are neurodivergent, and like many families, we've had to navigate the SEND system, EHCPs, disability benefits and the emotional toll that comes with fighting for the right support. Those lived experiences are what inspired me to start my business.

I'm neurodivergent myself, with ADHD (predominantly inattentive), and I also live with ongoing health challenges. Running a business while raising six children, attending appointments, managing hospital visits and advocating for my own family isn't always easy, but it's something I'm incredibly passionate about.

NorthStar Advocacy exists because I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed, unheard and unsure where to turn. I support families through EHCPs, school meetings, SEND disputes, disability benefits and neurodiversity coaching, helping them understand their rights and feel empowered throughout the process.

For me, disability and neurodivergence aren't barriers to success. They shape the way I see the world, fuel my determination and allow me to connect with the families I support on a deeply personal level.
