For LOI 1 I searched about the causes of ocean pollution , I found out most of the causes and searched deeper into them. I found out a lot of information that I am about to share with you guys !

Here are the causes of ocean pollution :

Let’s start off with sewage. Untreated sewage flows into coastlines with organic waste and nutrients that can lead to diseases and bacteria. The Human population grows and that means there is more sewage polluting the ocean. The bacteria in human waste, such as E coli, can infect the water and cause diseases. Other harmful solids and chemicals in sewage can damage bodies of water that support wildlife. When sewage goes into the water the water becomes dark so its hard for the fish to see.

Chemicals is dumping toxic liquid in the ocean which raises the ocean temperature. Some animals and plants cannot survive at that temperature so it is really dangerous for them because they might die. As it rains, those chemicals are washed into rivers, which feeds the waterfalls and then goes into the ocean. Chemicals also pollute marine life and kills sea animals, plants, and fish.
