Students may earn the AP Capstone diploma by:
Completing AP Seminar and earning a 3 or better for the course.
Completing AP Research and earning a 3 or better for the course.
Completing four additional AP courses of your choice and earning a 3 or better for all four courses.
You will learn a wide range of skills, including;
-Line of Reasoning to support an argument
-Synthesizing ideas
-Research
-Presentation skills
-Teamwork and collaboration
*Performance Task I (PT1): This task involves a 1200- word Individual Research Report (IRR) and an 8 -10 minute Team multimedia presentation (TMP)
*Performance Task 2 (PT2): This task involves a 2000-word Individual Written Argument (IWA) and a 6 -8 minute Individual Multimedia Presentation (IMP)
*End of Course Exam (EOC) Part A: For this part of the EOC, you will read and evaluate a short stimulus source. The evaluation will consist of answering 3 questions regarding the author's line of reasoning.
*End of Course Exam (EOC) Part B: For this portion of the EOC, you will be given four stimulus articles and are required to write a 5-paragraph argumentative essay where you are using at least two of the stimulus sources to support your line of reasoning and your argument.
