I grew up in a small town, much like Glenside, in the Pocono Mountains. As a kid I was happiest camping, hiking, kayaking, and playing in waterfalls! I also loved school and volunteering my time to help others. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher.

After earning my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Kutztown University, I moved to the Philadelphia area to begin my teaching career. I've been teaching in Abington School District for 13 years and this is my 9th year teaching third grade. I love to learn new strategies for the classroom, so professional development is important to me. I've taken numerous graduate credits in the areas of differentiated instruction, technology, and educational research. I have a Masters degree and a certificate in Distinguished Teaching from Gratz College.

I live in Abington with my husband, Josh, and son, Eric. I'm looking forward to an excellent school year!
