I am so excited to be here. This is my fourth year at Abington Senior High School, and my twelfth year teaching overall. I grew up in South Jersey, near the beach, but I've lived in Philadelphia for the past twenty-ish years. I earned my bachelor's degree in fashion design from Drexel University and my masters in teaching visual arts from the University of the Arts. My family and friends mean the world to me. I love visiting new places and collecting objects from my travels. I have a dog named Bernie and a cat named Ham, who are pretty much the best buddies ever.
I am very fortunate to teach Ceramics, and I find that most students really respond to this type of hands-on expression. Clay is a very intuitive medium that allows for a lot of personal growth and individual success. I'm always blown away by how much students improve over the course of a semester. I love seeing the progress students make and I'm grateful to be a part of it.
I am looking forward to working with you all and I can't wait to see what you make!
