Hi! I’m Ms. Fitz and this is my 8th year working with the amazing students, parents, and staff at Highland Elementary! I love the Husky Stars and am thrilled to be working with you this year!

I am a proud Abington alumni after growing up in Abington and attending Abington Junior and Senior High School. Afterwards, I went to college at West Chester University and received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education as well as Special Education. While working at Highland, I received a master’s degree in Education with a Reading Specialist certification at Cabrini University.

I currently live in Philadelphia just minutes away from my two sisters, my niece, and my puppy nephew who loves to join me for hikes! Prior to the pandemic, I loved to go to the beach, attend country concerts, and travel to explore new places. However, during the pandemic, I have enjoyed baking, painting, and learning all things technology related!

I know this year looks a bit different but I am excited to be on this journey with you and your child and I can’t wait to see what we learn in the coming months. We are Husky STARS...even from a distance!

Hi! My name is Ms. McKinnon and I am so excited to be working with you this school year. This is my fifteenth year at Highland Elementary School!

Prior to coming to Abington, I attended Bloomsburg University and received my degree in Elementary and Special Education. I also attended Cabrini University and received my Masters in Education with my Reading Specialist certification.

I grew up in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania with my older brother and sister where I attended Lower Moreland High School. My parents still live in the same house and I love visiting!

I currently live with my miniature dachshund, Preston. He used to love greeting me at the door after work, but now he is known for making a zoom appearance from time to time!

I am really looking forward to this school year and working with Highland's incredible students and families. I know it will look different, but we can do "virtually" anything if we work together! We are Husky STARS!

Hey everyone! My name is Mrs. Fisher, and I am very excited to get rolling with the 2020-2021 school year! I am entering into my eleventh year here at Highland!

I am a graduate of Millersville University in Millersville, PA where I received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education. I later graduated from Cabrini University in Radnor, PA with my Masters in Education and received my Reading Specialist certification.

I currently live in Bucks County with my husband,two girls, Rylin (3) & Cadence (1), dog, and cat. In my spare time I enjoy reading, hiking, spending time outside, going for walks, swimming, and pretty much anything arts/crafts related.

This year is certainly different than what we have experienced before, but know that we will all be navigating this uncharted virtual territory together. Team work makes the dream work!
