Class overview
Students will engage in listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities to gain foundational knowledge of Spanish language and culture. Students will learn vocabulary and sentence structure to communicate with others in the target language. Activities include learning games, digital worksheets, digital task cards, and listening to songs and creating projects that are relevant to students.
Class Syllabus:
Me llamo Martha Alemán. (My name is Martha Aleman.)
I graduated from McMurry University in 2012. I grew up speaking Spanish and spent many holidays and summer breaks with my grandparents in a small town near Cuidad Acuña, Coahuila in Mexico. I've been teaching since 2013. I have taught at Sweetwater High School, ATEMS High School and became part of the Cougar Nation in fall of 2020. I am honored to and proud to teach at CHS. I married my husband Cornelio in 2000 and we have a son and daughter that are both Cooper alumni and our youngest son attends Alcorta Elementary.
