This month we are focusing on managing devices in your classroom. Here are a few pro tips to keep your devices running as smoothly as possible!
TIP #1: Assign each student a specific device (iPad, Chromebook).
Why? The fewer users on the device, the less storage the profiles take up! Also, you can track patterns of mistreatment/damage or misuse by knowing who the device users are.
TIP #2: Enter Tech Support Requests RIGHT AWAY.
Why? You will have access to more working devices if you maintain them. You are less likely to be short multiple devices for repair. Technicians can track regular issues and work to find a permanent solution. Your requests provide the data needed to track patterns in device behavior!
TIP #3: CHAMPS your technology.
Why? Students need to know the expectations for using technology. You need to set boundaries and uphold them. There should be consequences for mistreating or misusing the district's devices.
Have you somehow forgotten your district password that you created and used all last year?
Fear not! You can reset your district password to a new forgettable password all by yourself!
No need to contact your campus liaison, technician, or Digital Coach!
Never get left out in the cold again!
The Digital Coaches are kicking off the year with Classroom Management! If you are new to Abilene ISD, have never used Lightspeed Classroom, or are looking for a refresher - this is the session for you!
