The tardy bell rings at 8:10. We encourage students that are not eating breakfast to not arrive prior to 8:05.
We ask that all parent drop off occur at West (by the field house) and North (front of school) parking lots and students enter through the designated entrance .
Schedules can be picked up in the North Cafeteria on the day of Freshman Orientation. Schedules are also viewable by logging into the TEAMS app.
Official blue schedules will be picked up in the South Cafeteria on the first day of school.
Lunches are based upon each student's 5th Period class. Class lunch assignments can be found at the bottom of the bell schedule.
Schedule change requests will begin Monday, August 23rd, using a Schedule Change Request form available at the Counseling Office. Please email your counselor with immediate questions and concerns, but know that most changes will not be addressed until the week of August 23rd.
All students will need to follow their Blue Schedule until they receive a new one from the counseling office.
Abilene ISD is recommending students wear masks.
Students who would like to wear a mask daily are responsible for providing their own.. We do have a small supply of disposable masks available on campus it a student forgets to bring one.

While masks are not mandated, please know that many of our same COVID-19 safeguards will still be in place to ensure the health and safety of students is maintained.
Tutoring is offered before and after school and scheduled with the individual teacher.
All teachers have a district email found on the district website. Grades can be monitored daily through the FRONTLINE/TEAMS app or the district website. Contact teacher directly through email with questions and concerns. Phone conferences and meetings should be pre-arranged. Please know that teachers will not answer their classroom phone during instructional time.
Cell phones should be silenced and put away during class. Cell phones may be used as an instructional tool with teacher discretion. Students in the Freshman Academy are required to leave the cell phone in the classroom while going to the restroom. If a cell phone is taken up for violation of policy, a $15 fee will be required to retrieve the phone from the office.

Students should be dressed in modest clothing. All clothing should be free of profanity, reference to drug & alcohol.
Pants/shorts should be worn at the waistline and no shorter than 5” above the knee.
Hats & hoods not worn in the building.
Hair should be a natural color.

All students receive 1 credit for each year-long course that they receive a passing grade for.
In order to be classified as a sophomore, as student must earn 6 credits, including Algebra I and English I.
In order to graduate a student must:
Complete 26 credits
Pass 5 state exams (Algebra I, English I, English II, Biology, US History)
