My name is Marcy Kurklin. This will be my 23rd year to teach. The last 17 years have been in 5th grade, and this is my 5th year to teach 5th grade science and social studies. I can't wait to get started!
My husband, Kent, is a farmer around the Petersburg area. We have two wonderful boys, Logan and Kole, who also work on the family farm.
Some of my favorite things include hanging out with family and friends, gardening, reading, my dogs, and big cokes in a styrofoam cups with crushed ice. ;)
My goal is to have a classroom where students feel safe to set big goals and work hard to achieve them. Mistakes will be made, but we will also learn the valuable lessons that go with them.
I strongly believe in the idea that “teamwork makes the dream work.” Parents, you are an enormous part of the dream team. I know that by working together, we will have an outstanding year.
