Here are a few theme ideas in no particular order to get your mind flowing! Use these ideas as a starting point and come up with activities that accomplish your goal. I thought about creating individual pages with lots of ideas for each theme, but decided that this is an ideas page to get you thinking. It is not a 'planned for you' party page because then the plans won't be focused on your goals and objectives. That being said, if you do an internet search for specific themes, you will find lots of ideas! I also put together a Pinterest board with helpful links.

Thank you for supporting my small business!
A color and a flower are enough to go on for decorating. One of my first weddings was coordinated for a bride that wanted daylilies and purple. And one of my most recent, 15 years later, was for someone who wanted a vibrant blue and daisies. Completely different and both very beautiful.
Choose a time in history that fascinates you and use that as your theme.
Consider Regency England, the Roaring 20's, The Renaissance, Scotland's Highlands, Jazz music, etc. This theme can influence your decorations, music, activities, and food.
Display black and white prints of your pictures.
Decorate with glass and lace. If you can find detailed old tea sets and silverware, even better. This pairs well with old books as well.
Use large greenery with pampas grass and lots of baskets for decorating. Seashells and light blue in the flowers or glass is also pretty.
Floral arrangements could include tropical flowers or stick with the light blue/green and sandy coloring.
Serve pina coladas and other beach-themed drinks.
If you are getting married near a holiday, you can use that theme. This works particularly well for Christmas, but could be used for Independence Day, Halloween, Valentine's Day or other holiday as well.
Rustic themed weddings are popular, probably because they feel more relaxed. Focus your decorations on wood, burlap, and lots of greenery.
Fairy lights can also be a fun addition.
Literally decorate with all white (or white with just a touch of light blue, gold, silver or other color).
A white cake and white bouquet are also beautiful.
Maybe you aren't interested in planning a theme around a specific book, but the thought of books in general is appealing.
There are a lot of great ideas that incorporate books in centerpieces. It goes well with vintage themes and rustic themes. You can use books themselves, use book pages for papercrafts, and decorate with letters (Scrabble tiles work well).
Give books as gifts to guests.
Theme your wedding off of an international destination - one that you experienced together or plan to go to together.
Or, you could just use the entire world as your theme and pull in elements from a variety of cultures and destinations.
You can theme your wedding off of a season - fall leaves and harvest, winter pine, and scattered spring flowers all work well.
This works especially well if it's a book, show, or movie that you enjoy together or that is meaningful to your relationship. Beauty and the Beast, Harry Potter, Star Wars, The Greatest Showman, ... they all have terrific possibilities.
Consider adding a fun photo backdrop for your guests.
There are some beautiful color combinations. You can go with a few shades of one color (such as light, medium, and dark blues) or complimentary colors (such as purple with a splash of yellow). For a romantic look, go for shades of red and pink.
Black with one or two (or more) very vibrant colors works well.
Remember that your wedding is to help you celebrate together with those you love. Choose a theme that you love.
