Here are a few theme ideas in no particular order to get your mind flowing! Use these ideas as a starting point and come up with activities that accomplish your goal. I thought about creating individual pages with lots of ideas for each theme, but decided that this is an ideas page to get you thinking. It is not a 'planned for you' party page because then the plans won't be focused on your goals and objectives. That being said, if you do an internet search for specific themes, you will find lots of ideas! I also put together a Pinterest board with helpful links.

Use seashells, tissue paper as sea weed and cut outs of little schools of fish on the wall.
Serve pasta shells, sushi rolls and blue punch, Swedish fish jellies and goldfish crackers work for snacks.

Lots of animal décor and green decorations. You can also use animal prints like giraffe spots and zebra stripes.
Decorate tables with twin stuffed animals.
Everyone giving baby shower gifts can bring two of the same items (remember they can be as small as baby spoons, diapers, and more of the practical baby ware!
Send invitations that look like game tickets.
Decorate in the colors of the mommy-to-be's hometown or favorite team.
Make a cake in the shape of the sport's ball (baseball, football, basketball, hockey, etc.) or in the shape of a bat, hockey stick, etc.

Send invitations shaped like diapers with a safety pin.
Every guest is asked to bring a package of diapers.
Provide supplies and invite everyone to make a page for a baby album.
Bring out all of your stuffed animals to use as decorations.
Play a game of "baby animal match".
Send your guests home with decorated bags of animal cookies.
Could also focus on one kind of animal - like baby ducks. Decorate the room with rubber duckies and ducky soaps of different sizes with yellow balloons and streamers.
Bake a yellow cake with a big ducky floating in a pond in the center.
Decorate with an outdoor/camping theme.
Serve trail mix.
Decorate the invitation and baby shower based on your favorite nursery rhymes.
Send 'Once upon a time' invitations.
Decorate with Jack and Jill, a cow jumping over a moon, Humpty Dumpty, and other favorites.
Children's books can also be used to decorate the tables.
You could also focus the entire theme on one popular children's book or a favorite book of mom and/or dad.
Use yellow and black décor with lemon and honey treats.
Decorate with stars and moons in silver, yellow and blue.
Create star stencils and write cute information on each star (i.e., parents to be names, grandparent’s names, “it’s a boy”, etc).
I always let the new mom help choose the theme. Consider inviting dads too.
