Parent Square is the district/school's MAIN source of communication with parents. Please make sure to download the app onto your phone and turn ON push notifications. 

If you do not have a smartphone, please check online every day to see if there are any messages from me. (If you have a smartphone and turn on push notifications, you will automatically get a notification pop up on your phone when I send you a message. )

Clever

Many of your digital platforms can be accessed through our Clever Signal Sign On using 

your .org email. (clever.com/in/abcusd) Once in Clever the tiles either link directly to your digital platform or take you to the platform log in page where you will need to enter your credentials.

 Go to clever.com - Log in as a student — Search for Gonsalves Elem

Log in with Google (The colorful G) - Email is student’s firstname_lastname@myabcusd,org

Password is yyyymmdd (birthday)  (example May 2, 2017 would be 20170502)

Class Dojo

We will only be using ClassDojo as a class reward system! All notifications will be sent via ParentSquare!

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING TO DOJO. Dojo is completely free, when first signing up, you can skip and exit out of all the paid plans they offer. Please do not pay for dojo, it is a FREE APP!

Hello! Thank you so much for showing interest in volunteering in our classroom this year!!! 

We will be starting ELA groups in September where I would love to have parents help lead a small group of students each week!  If you happen to be free at those times, just send me a message ahead of time and we'd love to add you to the schedule! 

If you'd like to volunteer in other capacities just send me a message at least a day before with a preference of what you would like to do and I will do my best to make that happen for you!! 

Here are some ideas of how you can help and feel free to come up with your own ideas as well! I am always open to new things!!

- Listen and record individual students do their timed fluency reading

- support individual or small group of students with ELA or Math work 

- support individual or small group of students with reading 

- lead a lesson!!! (PE, Art, math, reading, writing, science, history, even do a fun project!)  :D

- copies, tearing out workbook pages, or creating packets 

If you can't come in, but have time to do things at home, I'd be more than happy to send workbooks home to you that you can tear out, staple, and send back to school :)

What is my login and password for __________?

Click on the red button for login and password information for all online resources.  Whenever a Google + button is available for sign in, use it. Otherwise, formats for login names and passwords vary from site to site and can be viewed in this document.  

I double checked the password/login document, but I still can't get in. What should I do? 

1.  Did you type in "yyyymmdd" as your password? If you typed these exact letters in, you need to type in the numbers representing your child's birth date. For example, if your child was born on February 5, 2010, you would type in:  20100205.

2.  Did you press the Google + button? Easy Google sign-in is used whenever available. Instead of entering in a login name and password, just click on the Google + button.

How much academic support will parents need to provide their children? 

Home assignments should be able to be completed independently with minimal help from parents. However, parent involvement and reviewing work is always encouraged and welcome! Parents can support by establishing a morning routine, providing a quiet learning environment, and making sure students come to school ready to learn. It is also imperative that parents review assignments and scores in with their children to help keep them accountable and on time.    

Where can I view my child's progress report and/or report card?

When is winter break? Do we have Veteran's Day off?
