The Gahr High School Virtual Academy Schedule

Students must attend all classes virtually on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. They are also to check into their grade specific homeroom classes on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday for informational updates.


Students must be in each of their virtual class meetings to be considered present at our virtual academy. On Wednesdays, students must check in to their 3rd period from 9:45 to 10:00 A.M. to be counted as present.

If a student needs to miss school on any given day, their parent or guardian of record must send a note of absence to our attendance secretary Mrs. Maria Perez ( with a subject line of, "Student Absence" and any supporting documentation attached to the email.

Student Schedules and Accessing Classes

Students can view their schedules on AERIES, along with their corresponding Google Classroom codes for each class.

Each grade level has a unique Google Classroom they should visit each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 9:05 A.M. to received updates, announcements, and video content related to Gahr High School.

If a student does not have a 3rd period course, they will have a course labeled "GAP ATTENDANCE" on their schedule. They will have to join the "GAP ATTENDANCE" Google Classroom and check into its Google Meet on Wednesday at 9:45 A.M. for attendance purposes. Students can receive their Google Classroom access codes for homeroom by visiting this link.

If you have been assigned a 9th period "TUTORING LAB" you have been invited to attend our brand new virtual tutoring program on Wednesdays. More information on the Tutoring Lab will be coming to you very soon.

On Friday, August 21, 2020, students are to log into their ABC Unified School District Google accounts, add their assigned Google Classrooms in preparation for the first day of school on Monday, August 24, 2020.

School Counseling

Our Gahr High School Counseling Team is here to support and assist our students and families. If you have questions about class changes, courses, academic planning, or other school related concerns, please reach out to them. They are each accessible by email and have a Google Classroom their assigned students should join as well.

Distance Learning Guidelines

We have the highest expectation for our students while attending the Gahr High School Virtual Academy. Please view our distance learning expectations video with Assistant Principal Mrs. Moreau.

Lunch Service

ABC Unified School District will be providing lunch service on school days at all district elementary school sites from 2:00 to 3:30 P.M. Families will be sent a meal card by ABC Unified School District's Nutrition Services which must be used to receive a lunch.

Students who qualify for free meals can pick-up lunch for free with the meal card. Families that do not qualify for free meals, must deposit funds into their account through nutrition services and use their meal card. High school meals are $4.80.

Student Resource Center

Gahr High School’s Student Resource Center hosts our Mental Health Professionals who provide a range of mental health services including School-Based Socio-Emotional Counseling. Our Mental Health Professionals are the school’s liaisons for our vulnerable populations such as foster-youth, homeless and military-connected youth. Our team strives to establish community-relations and partnerships with our students and families so we may link them with additional resources for housing, transportation, food and basic necessities to address any barriers hindering our student’s academic success.

College and Career Center

The College & Career Center is available for students to access resources and services relating to college planning and career exploration. The goal is to provide the guidance needed to help students make informed decisions about their future. Please contact Ms. Arechiga ( for any questions or concerns.

Athletics Clearance

All students who are enrolled in athletics or band need to fill out Gahr High School's athletic clearance form.

Math and Writing Centers

The Writing Center will be available with online sessions to provide students with peer tutoring for their English assignments. Students can ask for feedback on writing assignments by sharing their work with a teacher who will facilitate a comment based conversation between the tutor and student.

The Writing Center will open the week of September 28, 2020, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00-4:00 PM. Be sure to sign up for your session by the Friday before you wish to meet.

Gahr High School's Math Center provides peer tutoring supervised by a credentialed teacher. You can access both the Math and Writing Centers at their website.
