It is with a humble heart and enthusiastic spirit that I welcome you all to our class community. My name is Erika Cook-Studt and I am grateful to be your child’s teacher and look forward to partnering with your family this year. Although each year brings new challenges, I am optimistic that we will all engage in opportunities for growth, learning, and happiness.
Cerritos Elementary is a school community that I feel honored to be a part of and to serve. Prior to coming here, I taught English as a Second Language in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. I also received my Bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis in Comparative World Literature and my Master’s degree in Dual Language Development from California State University, Long Beach.
This is going to be a fabulous year for your young scholar, full of great growth, positive challenges, and new discoveries. Together, we will build a classroom community that cultivates lifelong learning, emphasizes cooperative collaboration, and fosters student independence. Thank you for your support and partnership!
