-Project collaborators will meet with members via GC on Thursdays.
Throughout the week:
1.Participants will have the option of engaging in different groups where they will share a topic related to positive mental health practices and strategies with each other for that week.
2. Participants will interact through Padlet based on their selected choice. At least 3 students from each group will upload a video of a chemical reaction related to their geographic area or culture. Videos or video links will be posted on an embedded Padlet on my website.
3. Staff (teachers) can assist students with tutorials found under “resources” if using Youtube. Staff will also screen material and monitor for any inappropriate behavior and content within the videos. They will fill out the required form in the event the witness any inappropriate content or interaction amongst the participants.
4. Participants from different classes will access videos and explain the reaction that is occurring. These videos will be shared on an embedded weekly community Padlet. Students will either agree or disagree with the initial post/video.
5. Participants will comment and interact by explaining and applying positive strategies for peaceful resolution and effective communication. Participants from the same class will comment on how this process is relevant to their geographic area or culture. A video and short lesson plan on types of chemical reactions will also be made available under the “resource” section of my website.
*Students will receive guidance and redirection from staff when necessary. Staff will monitor and interact with students through the shared community Padlet. If necessary, students will be provided with unbalanced chemical equations and asked to solve them using their own knowledge or doing research on the chemical process.
