This year we cannot hug everyone. Why not hug a tree instead?
According to some authors, hugging a tree has benefits for your well-being. There is also extensive research on how trees help clean the air, so there is clearly a point in caring for them. Let's start with a big hug!
The Icelandic Forestry Service encourage people to hug trees while keeping social distancing measures to prevent them from hugging other people, and raise awarness of the forests.
