Our Special Education Teacher provides a variety of services. The primary role is to coordinate and provide services for students who have been identified as needing intervention. These services can occur in many ways. The general education teacher may provide support with consultation or an assistant, the special education teacher may co-teach with the teacher as part of a push in model, a small group may occur outside of the general classroom or one on one intervention may occur. These decisions are made as part of a Team.

Along with direct instruction of students our special education teacher will also complete testing to identify areas of weakness and monitor progress students are making through their interventions. This testing typically happens as part of referral or review process.
